The freedom of Jersey with a Libertybus staycation! – Great Scenic Journeys

Every route on LibertyBus travels through sumptuous scenery and to great places, that it’s difficult to choose a favourite. We’ll have a try, though – here’s some incredible routes that showcase the very best of Jersey….

1, St. Helier to Gorey Pier

A mesmerising journey that starts next to The Monument to Freedom Statue in the heart of St. Helier and its Liberation Square and then finds its way past the Lido on the coast at Havre des Pas. The bus weaves its way inland slightly, past boules games, palm trees and pastel coloured houses with blooming flowers and perfectly manicured gardens. Back alongside the coast and The Jersey Round Tower at Le Hocq stands out, a resilient, fortified tower.

Breathtaking views about at La Rocque Harbour with its sweeping vistas, rock pools and sandy areas at low tide and amazing guiles and reefes exposed before Gorey Pier approaches and the looming presence of Mount Orguil Castle as a dramatic backdrop above more multi-coloured buildings – restaurants, hotels, boutique independent shops and quaint coffee bars. It’s a picture-perfect postcard type view as the bus reaches its final stop, cirling a lovely fishing boat roundabout that marks the centre of delightful Gorey.
