There's some great farm shops and other independent retailers as well as a twice-monthly market in this elegant village nestled in the Elham Valley and its hidden byways, ancient woodland, orchards and farmsteads. This really is Kent in all its rural charm and beauty! Take in the wonderful half-timbered houses and quaint charm in this bygone, timeless setting! The large Grade 1 listed church of St. Mary is well worth a visit too!

Get back on board the 76 bus at the Rose and Crown

The bus passes through the picturesque village of Lyminge, with its church spire, woodlands and meandering streams! Then through Etchinghill and Cheriton before its denouement in Folkestone. The views from the window really are fab!

Take a wander round Folkestone Harbour with its lovely views out to sea in this bustling, rejuvenated and trendy part of the town. The harbour has been sensitively restored to pay homage to its nautical history and significance in the Second World War.

It's been a great day and now it's time to unwind on the bus, taking in the Kentish scenery one more time as Chaucer's Canterbury approaches again!
