The town is home to the first Butlin's holiday camp, which was opened by Billy Butlin in 1936. Today, Butlin's Skegness is still a popular holiday destination and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Journey Overview
12 individually-named character buses run on this great route. They are Rocky, Candy, Pierre, Sandy, Salty, Shelly, Rolly, Sunny, Sweetie, Scoop, Teddy and Milly. Each are painted with a different patterned design depicting a classic seaside theme. For example, Candy is covered in candy floss while Rolly is decorated like a rollercoaster! Rocky, is painted like a stick of rock, of course!
With a dedicated radio station just for the Seasiders, the gang travel alongside the Boating Lake, past the Aquarium and The Pier, through to Fantasy Island and all the way to Hardy’s Farm. Folk can hop on and off all day long and visit every attraction you can manage!
The bus stops at popular attractions such as the Skegness Pier, the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, and the Skegness Butlins holiday park, among others. The tour is a convenient and enjoyable way to discover the sights and sounds of Skegness and its surroundings, without having to worry about parking or navigation.
