Journey Overview

Starting in the bright lights and bustle of Dublin, the 32 traverses the rolling hills of County Monaghan, known for its lush green fields and quaint villages. Here, you can see traditional Irish farmhouses dotted among the rolling hills and catch glimpses of the dramatic peaks of the Monaghan Mountains in the distance.

Next, the route takes customers through the bustling town of Omagh, located in County Tyrone. As you continue on through the region, the bus passes through the small town of Strabane, which is located at the confluence of two rivers and is known for its picturesque bridges and beautiful scenery.

This is a journey that can be enjoyed with exploration at Dublin or Letterkenny at both ends and maybe with a stop-off en route or possibly over a couple of days. The Expressway service is a great way to sit back, relax and enjoy Ireland’s wonderful scenery and visit some awesome places!

From a visit to St. Trinty’s College or a tour of the Guinness Brewery or peruse of the iconic Dublin Castle, there’s so much to do in Dublin before boarding the 32.

Once on-board, a great early place to stop-off at is Castleblarney and a visit to Blarney Castle and a chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone and receive the gift of eloquence. The castle is also surrounded by beautiful gardens, including the famous Rock Close, which is filled with ancient trees, moss-covered rocks, and mysterious caves.

Monaghan is also worth stopping off at and maybe an overnight stay. Closeby there is Lough an Leagh Mountain which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, so too, Hill of Eglish which is a historic site, providing great vantage points of scenery and a glimpse into Ireland’s past. St. Macartan’s Cathedral is also highly recommended and is a beautiful medieval cathedral.

Another location that is fabulous on the 32 is the bustling town of Omagh in County Tyrone. Here, you can explore the town’s rich cultural heritage, including its historic churches, museums, and art galleries, or take a walk along the banks of the River Strule, which runs through the centre of the town.

Finally, the route ends in Letterkenny, the largest town in County Donegal.
